1. Our Commitment

At DrClear House Clearance, we take our environmental responsibilities seriously.
As a licensed waste carrier (Licence No. CBDU549477) based in Wednesbury, West Midlands, we are committed to reducing waste, preventing pollution, and promoting the reuse and recycling of materials in every clearance project we undertake.

Our mission is simple:

Respectful Clearances. Responsible Recycling.

We aim to divert as much material as possible from landfill and support sustainable waste management across the West Midlands.


2. Our Environmental Objectives

We actively pursue the following objectives across all operations:

  1. Maximise Recycling and Reuse

    • Maintain a recycling and donation rate of at least 95% of all items collected.

    • Prioritise reuse through donation to local charities, community groups, and families in need.

  2. Minimise Waste to Landfill

    • Segregate waste at source (wood, metals, plastics, textiles, and electricals).

    • Deliver residual waste only to licensed recycling and recovery facilities.

  3. Comply with Environmental Legislation

    • Operate fully in accordance with the Environmental Protection Act 1990Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011, and Duty of Care requirements.

    • Keep accurate waste transfer notes and disposal records for all collections.

  4. Reduce Carbon Impact

    • Plan efficient collection routes to reduce fuel usage.

    • Maintain vehicles for low emissions and reliability.

    • Recycle or refurbish office equipment and use paperless invoicing wherever possible.

  5. Educate and Train

    • Ensure all staff understand environmental best practices.

    • Provide ongoing training on waste segregation, recycling standards, and safe disposal.

  6. Partner with Ethical Organisations

    • Work with Environment Agency–approved disposal and recycling centres.

    • Support local charities, including Birmingham Dogs Home, to rehome furniture and household goods.


3. How We Achieve Responsible Recycling

We apply a structured approach to every clearance job:

5. Continuous Improvement

DrClear House Clearance reviews this policy and its environmental impact annually to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement.
We monitor key performance indicators including recycling rates, landfill diversion, and vehicle emissions, and we set new targets each year to improve sustainability.


6. Responsibility

Krzysztof Szczesny (Chris), Owner and Operator of DrClear House Clearance, is responsible for implementing and maintaining this Environmental Policy.

All team members are expected to uphold the principles of this policy and contribute to the protection of our shared environment.


7. Review

This policy will be reviewed at least once every 12 months or whenever there are significant operational or regulatory changes.
