Modern Slavery & Ethical Conduct Statement
Last updated: October 2025
1. Introduction
DrClear House Clearance is fully committed to operating ethically, with integrity, and in full compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
We have a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, and human trafficking within our operations, supply chain, and partnerships.
Although we are a small, family-run business, we recognise our responsibility to prevent and combat any potential exploitation connected to our work.
2. Our Business
DrClear House Clearance, owned and operated by Krzysztof Szczesny (Chris), is a licensed waste carrier (Licence No. CBDU549477) providing professional property clearance services across Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Dudley, and the wider West Midlands.
We deliver full and partial clearances for residential, commercial, and specialist clients, with a 95% recycling and donation rate and strong community partnerships.
Our work involves collaboration with recycling facilities, disposal sites, suppliers, and local charities.

We are committed to:
Ensuring that everyone working with or for DrClear House Clearance is treated with dignity, fairness, and respect.
Promoting ethical behaviour and transparency across all levels of operation.
Ensuring our suppliers and subcontractors share the same values and comply with UK labour laws.
Supporting human rights and equality of opportunity.
We do not use or condone:
Forced, bonded, or involuntary labour
Child labour
Discrimination, harassment, or exploitation of any kind
Unsafe or degrading working conditions
4. Our Supply Chain
Our supply chain primarily consists of:
Licensed waste disposal and recycling facilities
Equipment and uniform suppliers
Fuel and vehicle maintenance providers
Local charity partners
We expect all partners and subcontractors to:
Comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
Follow ethical labour and environmental practices
Provide evidence of compliance upon request
5. Due Diligence and Risk Management
We take practical steps to reduce the risk of modern slavery within our supply chain:
Conducting informal due diligence when engaging new suppliers.
Using only Environment Agency–licensed waste management facilities.
Reviewing supplier performance periodically.
Ensuring any subcontractors are legally employed, paid fairly, and properly insured.
If we identify any supplier or partner acting unethically, we will immediately review and, if necessary, terminate the relationship.
6. Staff Awareness and Training
While we operate with a small team, all staff and subcontractors are made aware of this Policy and our zero-tolerance approach to unethical practices.
We encourage everyone to report any concerns about potential exploitation or unsafe working conditions, either internally or to relevant authorities.
7. Reporting Concerns
We promote an open culture that enables staff, partners, and the public to raise concerns without fear of retaliation.
Anyone can report suspected modern slavery or unethical behaviour by contacting:
