1. Introduction
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how DrClear House Clearance handles cancellations and refunds for bookings made through our website, by email, or over the phone.

2. Your Right to Cancel
If you make a booking as a consumer (an individual, not a business), you have the right to cancel your booking within 14 days of receiving confirmation, without giving any reason.
To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us by email or telephone before the 14-day period expires.

3. Starting Work Within the Cancellation Period
If you ask us to begin the clearance service before the 14-day cancellation period has expired, you agree to the following:
You lose the right to a full refund once the service has been completed.
If you cancel after work has started, you will be charged a reasonable proportion of the agreed fee to cover work already performed and any costs incurred.
We will only begin work early with your clear consent (verbal or written).
4. Cancelling After the 14-Day Period
If you cancel your booking after the 14-day period and before the scheduled service date, we may charge a cancellation fee to cover administrative and scheduling costs:

These fees help us cover allocated labour and vehicle costs.
5. Rescheduling
You can reschedule your booking free of charge if at least 24 hours’ notice is given.
If you request a change less than 24 hours before your scheduled clearance, we may apply a small rescheduling charge to cover staff and logistics already arranged.
6. Refund Process
If you are entitled to a refund, it will be processed using the original payment method within 7 working days of confirmation.
Refunds will appear in your account depending on your bank or payment provider’s processing times.
7. Services We Cannot Refund
Refunds will not be issued for:
Services already completed at your request within the 14-day cancellation period.
Any third-party disposal or recycling costs already incurred on your behalf.
Missed appointments where no access was provided to the property.
8. Business Customers
These cancellation and refund rights apply only to consumers.
If you are booking clearance services on behalf of a business, charity, or public organisation, cancellations are handled by mutual agreement and may be subject to additional terms in your quotation.
9. Our Promise
We aim to act fairly and reasonably in all situations.
If exceptional circumstances arise (e.g., bereavement, health emergencies, access issues), please contact us — we’ll always do our best to reschedule or refund in full where appropriate.
