1. About Us
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all property clearance services provided by DrClear House Clearance, owned and operated by Krzysztof Szczesny (Chris), sole trader, trading as DrClear House Clearance (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

2. Our Services
We provide professional clearance services including:
- Full and partial house clearances
- Probate and bereavement clearances
- Hoarding property clearances
- End-of-tenancy clearances
- Factory and office clearances
- Garage, loft, and garden clearances
Each service is performed by trained staff following UK waste management law and environmental standards.
3. Booking and Quotes
- Quotes may be provided by phone, email, or through our website.
- A quote is valid for 14 days from the date of issue.
- We reserve the right to adjust the price if the actual volume, access, or item types differ from the description provided.
- Your booking is confirmed once we accept it in writing (email or text) and you accept our quotation.
- For certain clearances, we may request a deposit or partial payment before work begins.
4. Prices and Payment
- All prices are quoted in GBP (£) and include any applicable VAT (if registered).
- Payment is due immediately upon completion of the clearance unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Accepted payment methods include cash, bank transfer, or debit/credit card (via WooCommerce or invoice).
- Invoices not paid within 7 days of completion may incur late payment interest in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
- You have the right to cancel a booking within 14 days of confirmation without charge, provided the service has not yet started.
- If you ask us to begin work within the cancellation period, you agree to waive your right to a full refund for the portion of work completed.
- To cancel, please email office@drclear.co.uk or call 07958 429 751 quoting your booking details.
- Refunds (if applicable) will be processed to the original payment method within 7 working days.

6. Customer Obligations
By booking our services, you agree to:
- Provide safe access to the property and adequate parking for vehicles.
- Ensure all items for removal are clearly identified.
- Disclose any hazardous or restricted materials in advance (e.g., asbestos, chemicals, gas cylinders).
- Be present or provide authorised access on the day of clearance.
- Obtain any required permissions (e.g., landlord or estate agent consent).
Failure to comply may result in additional costs or rescheduling fees.
7. Items We Cannot Remove
For safety and legal reasons, we cannot remove:
- Asbestos or materials containing asbestos
- Hazardous waste or chemicals
- Medical or biological waste
- Gas bottles or pressurised containers
- Live animals
If such items are discovered, we may suspend or refuse the service and advise on specialist disposal options.
8. Disposal and Recycling
We operate under Environment Agency Licence CBDU549477.
All waste is transported to licensed recycling and disposal facilities.
We aim to recycle or donate up to 95% of all items, supporting local charities whenever possible.
9. Insurance and Liability
- We are fully insured for public liability through AXA Insurance.
- While every care is taken, minor damage can occasionally occur. Our liability is limited to the reasonable cost of repair or replacement (whichever is lower).
- We are not liable for loss or damage to items left unlabelled or excluded from the clearance.
- We are not responsible for consequential loss, loss of income, or missed appointments due to factors beyond our control (e.g., traffic, weather, access issues).
10. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform any part of the service caused by events beyond our reasonable control (including extreme weather, accidents, illness, or transport disruption).

We take complaints seriously.

We will acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days and aim to resolve it within 10 working days.
12. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Otherwise, our total liability to you shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by English law, and any disputes shall be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
